About General Frontier.

General Frontier is an AI engineering lab. We use AI agents throughout our own work, investigate what works and what fails, and apply what we learn in experiments, systems, and products.

Agents can produce impressive work. Doing it reliably, over and over, is a different problem. Anyone who runs them daily knows the pattern: they hyper-focus on the wrong thing, miss context a person would catch, and forget where they were between sessions. That's not carelessness; it's how the technology works right now.

We run into these limits every day and build our way around them: processes, systems, tools. The ones that hold up become products.
